Football started to make its way into the hearts of fans nationwide in the 1920s. This was before the NFL was the rage though. College football was a national holiday each Saturday afternoon.

Standing 5 1/2" is this cast iron football player bookend plowing ahead. There is a wonderful patina.

There are a few minor scuffs on the helmet.
