Before Mookie Wilson's ground ball rolled through Bill Buckner's legs during the 1986 World Series, there was Merkle's Boner. Pictured here is the perpetrator of said boner, Fred Merkle, during his 1916 campaign with the Brooklyn Robins.

Hand selected for inclusion in the book "Baseball's Golden Age: The Photographs of Charles M. Conlon, 1993" each of these offered images were developed from the original glass plate negative. Classified as a Type 2 by professional grading services, each image presents the finest in color, subject, and contrast. Near mint condition. Sporting News Hologram. (H1014)
