There was one constant on the Green Bay Packers sidelines for some 65 years - Vernon Biever. The photographer from Port Washington was there for the likes Curly Lambeau, Vince Lombardi, Mike Holmgren and even was there for the early stages of Mike McCarthy's run. All of the highs and lows were usually captured by Biever or his capable sons, also accomplished photographers. Recently a number of treasures from the Vernon Biever Estate were made available to the public. MEARS was able to acquire a few of relics directly from the estate sale.
Offered are photos created by Vern Biever himself from his very negatives. These were secured from the Biever estate recently by MEARS and have a Vern Biever photographer stamp on the reverse. Included are the following: 8 1/2" x 11" Carroll Dale during the Ice Bowl, 8 1/2" x 11" Willie Davis taking the field, 8 1/2" x 11" Ray Nitschke taking the field, 8" x 10" Vince Lombardi at RFK Stadium as Packers coach, 8" x 10" Robert Brooks, 8" x 10" Tom Landry from Ice Bowl, 1995 Playoffs vs. Cowboys, (3) 8" x 10" of Mike Holmgren arriving to work on his Harley bike before the NFC Championship Game, 8" x 10" of Robert Brooks, 8" x 10" Sterling Sharpe vs. Vikings, 8" x 10" Dave Hanner and Jim Carter and 8" x 10" from locker room after Packers won Super Bowl XXXI.
