Boxing can only wish it could go back to the days when Mike Tyson dominated sports headlines. While some of the news was negative, Tyson had boxing atop the sporting landscape in the 1980s and '90s as he was a must-see pay-per-view each time he laced up the gloves. Currently, the sport is in a state of purgatory as crooked judges, a dearth of heavyweight talent and squabbling over a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight are the only things bringing notoriety these days. Originating from a former Tyson entourage member is this piece of boxing history.

While Mike Tyson could deliver severe punishment to the speed bag, watching him jump rope would cause jaws to drop. Exhibiting great use is this leather jump rope with athletic taping around the handle and two spots. "Mathis Camp" is written paper and tape affixed. We assume this was used in preparation for Tyson's battle with Buster Mathis in 1995. Consigned by MEARS Staff.
