Offered is a MacGregor size 46 road white pullover with his name on back which is an applique on plate version. His number 46 is affixed front and back as well as the sleeves. The MacGregor tag has the crown which was basically a design used in late 1980's with carry over into the early 1990's when Starter became the main suppliers of Packers jersey's in 1992. It has the NFL neck patch which began in 1991 so we are dating the shirt to 1991 and possibly 1992. The shirt has the cuffed customized sleeve with three stripes as seen in Getty image 2529489 that shows Esera Tuaolo on November, 17, 1991 shown wearing this style of customized three stripe sleeve. (We do not have a picture of Workman in this style jersey and only offer this photograph to show that the Packers did wear the three stripe style in 1991). This jersey shows the typical light wear and comes with a letter from long time dealer Murf Denny in which he states that he purchased the shirt directly from the Packers. Therefore, we are grading as an A10 with 5 points for the shirt and 5 points for the provenance from Denny whom is a long time noted Packer dealer.
Workman played for the Packers from 1989-92. Workman is best known for the fact that he played in the September 1992 game the week that QB Brett Favre made his NFL game debut. He also has the most catches in a single game by a running back with 12 made that same season. MEARS Auction LOA.
