Like most offensive lineman, Mark Cannon lived a life of anonymity in the NFL. He performed his job and was rarely lauded, well unless he had a holding call or messed up.
This helmet was used by Cannon during his stay in Titletown and shows heavy use. Imagine how many trench battles were solved while wearing the offered headgear.
Deep gouge marks and surface scratches pepper the front, some of which have been colored in. There are still heavy facemask and helmet marks visible. Two of the facemask clips were used in "87". The following identifiers are found in the inside: AF2 gel-filled padding, size "7 5/8" sticker and leather jaw pads. The back includes: "58" green dymo label, white warning sticker and size sticker.
Cannon signed (personalized) the plastic shell in black felt tip.
Employed by the Green Bay Packers from 1984-2000, Scott Waters had on field access for each game, and mingled along the sidelines with the players. Several candid photos document his presence on the field. This lot originated directly from the Scott Waters collection. Detailed LOA’s personally signed by Scott Waters will be included with each item from his collection. Letters of authenticity: Scott Waters & MEARS / Troy Kinunen
