1985-88 John Dorsey Green Bay Packers Game Worn Signed Helmet (Scott Waters/MEARS LOA/JSA)

You think John Dorsey got his licks in while donning this helmet? Our guess is an easy yes. This battle-tested helmet lived through those Sunday battles and trench warfare in the 1980s.

A number of scrapes are still visible on the front (some colored in) and other hit marks still appear on the plastic shell. The following appear on the reverse: Dorsey signature, size tag, "99" green dymo label and white warning sticker. The following are consealed on the inside: Riddell M155 gel-filled padding and size "7 1/8-7 3/4" sticker. All of the facemask clips are attached and the facemask shows heavy use.

Employed by the Green Bay Packers from 1984-2000, Scott Waters had on field access for each game, and mingled along the sidelines with the players. Several candid photos document his presence on the field. This lot originated directly from the Scott Waters collection.
