Lot #288:

1984 Devon White Santurce Crabbers Game Worn Home Jersey (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a Santurce Crabbers home jersey dating to Devon White's 1984 season with the Puerto Rican Winter League team. Wilson size 44 tag sewn in collar while Santurce's stylized "S" logo, number 24, a "White" nameplate and a number 24 patch are also sewn to the navy pinstriped white knit jersey. Santurce originally had a sponsorship with Eastern Airlines for the 1984 season, though that sponsorship was pulled shortly before the start of the season necessitating the oversize nameplate and sleeve patch to cover the original Eastern Airlines applique which remains visible when the jersey is held up to a light source. Heavy wear shown. (88Q0341, 700)
