The Cleveland Cavaliers hearkened back to their early days when they incorporated champagne red into their color scheme.
While most people equate the burgundy, gold and white colors as being used during the Lebron James era, the colors were first incorporated by the Cavs in the 1970s and early '80s.
This size "44" road jersey was worn by journeyman forward Reggie Johnson in 1981-82. All of the identifiers are heat pressed. The nameplate has been removed. Sewn in tandem in the tail are the following labels: Medalist Sand Knit exclusivity (glue affixed labeling period from 1979-83) and size.
Also included are shorts from the same period. Two tags are secured in the waistline: Cavaliers exclusivity (14 markered on glue affixed tag) and Medalist Sand Knit size 34 ("8" and one more number markered out). Lowes Moore wore "14" for Cleveland in 1981-82 so they may have been his shorts. A Cavaliers emblem is heat pressed on front.
