1980s Tom Thayer Chicago Bears Game Worn Sideline Jacket (MEARS Auction LOA)

Tom Thayer didn't stray too far from home during his football career. The Notre Dame star played for the USFL's Chicago Blitz before joining the Bears, where he experienced most of his success.

Thayer provided a line of protection for Walter Payton and Jim McMahon on the offensive line. This size "XXL" was worn by Thayer when he was on the sidelines during those cold weather contests.

Decent use is show with fraying on the "CHICAGO BEARS" team script on reverse. A Bears team emblem is emblazoned on front and an NFL shield is found on the left sleeve. Sewn in the collar is a Authentic Pro Line tag. "57" is written and was subsequently blackened out.

The inner tail also features a Starter tag.
