Ed Podolak could seemingly do it all at the NFL level. At the time he retired, he was Kansas City's all-time leading rusher and lent his capable hand with special teams as well.
We have traced the labeling period of this jersey from 1978-83 using the MEARS extensive database. We are offering this pullover knit jersey as a late career Podolak Chiefs jersey. Teams did carry over jerseys from year to year and this heavy-duty jersey was used for cold weather games as hand-warmer pockets are instituted into the middle for those frigid late season contests.
A Russell Athletic size "44" tag is revealed in the tail with dirt marks visible. All of the numbers are heat pressed and yellow and white ribbed material surrounds the sleeve ends. Pilling marks are found in the shoulders.
