Barty Smith doubled the life expectancy of a running back while in Green Bay. Smith survived seven years in the Packers backfield.

When Smith was dashing and darting he sported this size "48" mesh pullover. Sewn in the tail are dual Sand Knit tags - exclusivity with "6" markered on and size "48". The labeling period of the jersey is 1976-82. Smith wore #33 his entire Packer career while Jim Jensen assumed the number in 1981-82.

Extensive use is shown with team repairs dispersed throughout. Each set of numbers is heat pressed. The sleeve striping is custom sewn under the third stripe.

The nameplate has been removed and remnants are visible from where it once stood.
