Lot #255:

1975-79 Batman & Robin World's Greatest Super Heroes 8" MEGO Type 2 Action Figure (MEARS LOA)

The Batman figure was one of the flagship members of MEGO's wildly popular World's Greatest Super Heroes line. With its rubberized face resembling Adam West, snap-on cape and wonky oven mitts, it's as memorable as it is vital to the collection.

MEARS is proud to offer an original 8" MEGO Type 1 Batman figurine. The item is in excellent condition, but the cape, gloves, belt, chest emblem and boots are all replacement. There are cracks in the gloves and also a small pull on right upper right leg.

Though he was shouldered with sidekick status, Robin was one of the four original members of MEGO's World's Greatest Super Heroes line. This particular 8" rendition of The Boy Wonder is of the Type 2 variety. Apart from its reproduction gloves, the figure is original.
