Our consignor caught this very ball when he was in the upper throes of County Stadium in 1974. While few had heard of the guy who hit the ball that summer night, the slugger would become a Hall of Famer.
George Brett, playing his first full season, hit this very ball to one lucky fan. "Murph + Stan George Brett 3rd Inning" and "June 17 1974" are written on this game used orb. The two teams played on June 18 and 19 so our consignor was a little off on his date. Also to note, 1974 was the first year OAL (Mac Phail) baseballs were used.
