Offered are a pair of New Orleans Jazz home uniform shorts dating to Pete Maravich's first season with the team in 1974-75. Medalist Sand Knit size 36 & number 44 player ID tags sewn in waistband, with 1974-75 being the lone season Maravich wore number 44 with the Jazz before switching to uniform number 7 for the remainder of his tenure. Heavy wear with some staining and a couple small fabric holes. Consignor's account of obtaining the shorts is as follows...

"In the winter of 1975 (January or February), a friend & I attended a New Orleans Jazz game at the Superdome. After the game, we made our way to the area of the locker rooms. Back in those days, security was lax, and no one seemed to mind that a couple of 15-year olds were hanging out. We were hoping to get some autographs. Pete noticed us as he went in the locker room, and we yelled out to him for an autograph. A little while later, Pete came out of the locker room and tossed a couple of items to my friend and me with my friend getting the game jersey of Otto Moore (#34) while I got these shorts.
