Offered is a Ring Magazine title belt featuring a front plaque reading "Ring Championship Won By Joe Louis" with black marker signatures from World Champion pugilists Ken Norton and Archie Moore. Belt is constructed of black leather with yellow, red, white and blue ribbon plus two smaller plaques affixed which read "Defeated James J. Braddock" and "June 22, 1937 Chicago, Illinois" respectively. Full JSA Letter XX12228 will also attend to verify the authenticity of the signatures. We contacted Belt Creations and spoke to the Masis representative who confirmed this belt was indeed manufactured by his company to the same standards as the belt which would have been produced and gifted to Joe Louis by Ring Magazine in the 1950s. They confirmed this belt was not a replica, and was most likely gifted to Joe Louis himself in the 1970s or to a family member. The belt was retrieved from a Detroit area barber shop where Joe Louis frequented.
