Cornerbacks usually don't last too long in the NFL. Receivers get taller and faster on a yearly basis and the rigors of a season take their toll.

Dave Whitsell lasted a dozen years at the NFL level and pocketed a Pro Bowl in the process. This size "44" King O'Shea durene jersey was worn by Whitsell in the mid '60s. Staining and discoloration are both visible on the sets of numbers. The two-color tackle twill numbers have puckered somewhat from launderings. Both sleeve endings are ribbed.

Sewn in the tail is a size "44" King O'Shea manufacturer's tag. Graded MEARS A10.
