This piece originally hung in a Chicago Department Store's sporting goods section. The son of the company moved to Appleton, WI and started his own. Depicted is Angelo-Giuseppi "Hank" Luisetti, who is credited with being the first basketball player to use a one-handed shot, shooting the game winning one-handed shot against LIU (Long Island University) to end LIU's 43 game winning streak in 1936. Hank was voted second best player in the first half century of basketball behind George Mikan in 1950 and was also inducted to the basketball hall of fame in 1959. Luisetti died in 2002 at 86. A statue of him still stands outside Maples pavilion at Standford. The lithograph is mounted to heavy board and framed. Handling wear and scratches throughout. Good to Very good overall condition. Shipping and crating fees may be substantial.
