Pictured here is the man responsible for bringing Babe Ruth to the Boston Red Sox, Joseph Lannin, who owned the Sox from 1913 to 1916. When Lannin sold the team to Harry Frazee for $200,000 in 1917 Frazee tried to recover some of his investment by selling The Babe to the New York Yankees for $125,000 two seasons later. Whoops.
Hand selected for inclusion in the book "Baseball's Golden Age: The Photographs of Charles M. Conlon, 1993" each of these offered images were developed from the original glass plate negative.
