Offered is a Rawlings PRO301-6J fielder's mitt dating to the outset of Mariano Rivera's career with the New York Yankees circa 1996-2001 which features Rivera's name embroidered in white thread on the thumb. Glove features an open back, criss cross webbing while available images of Rivera's on-mound game gloves feature a closed back webbing. As such, glove was likely used by Mariano to shag balls in the outfield, a favorite pregame ritual of Rivera's. Moderate to heavy wear. (46V0081)
