Offered is a professional model H&B Louisville Slugger dating to circa 1924 which features a block letter "Neville" barrel stamping, while "Gehringer" is also sidewritten on the bat along with the outline of a shipping label. Measures 35", weighs 34 ounces and shows heavy use with deadwood through the barrel repaired with an array of approximately 40 period nails & a cracked handle (-.5). MEARS A9. Bat was borrowed and used by Charlie Gehringer during his rookie year and then returned to the factory for his very first signature model bats to be eventually produced.
