Offered is a leather Spalding helmet dating to the late 1940's/early 1950's which was donned by one of the College All Star who faced off against the Chicago Bears in the annual Chicago Charities College All Star Game. Helmet is constrcuted of silver leather with alternating red and blue stripes. Spalding manufacturer logo stamped on front of helmet while reverse features stamps reading "7FH", "7 1/8" and "Full Fibre Reinforced". Interior features an 8 strap suspension system with "Chas. Spicka: handwritten while "7 1/8" and "Airlite Cushion Rubber" are stamped in black. Heavy use evident. (F0254)
