Offered is a game worn helmet from the well traveled Breakers franchise in the USFL which spent a year each in Boston, New Orleans and Portland before the league disbanded. Multi-color wave decals present on either side of shell while numeral 89 decals are affixed to the reverse. Interior features a Riddell WD1 manufacturer's label, a 1984 recertification sticker, size 7 3/8 sticker, "86" in black click tape and number 4 in black marker. Tight end Chris Combs donned number 89 in 1983 & 1984 while Dan Ross took it over for 1985. Heavy use shown. (55I0468)
