There was one constant on the Green Bay Packers sidelines for some 65 years - Vernon Biever. The photographer from Port Washington was there for the likes Curly Lambeau, Vince Lombardi, Mike Holmgren and even was there for the early stages of Mike McCarthy's run. All of the highs and lows were usually captured by Biever or his capable sons, also accomplished photographers. Recently a number of treasures from the Vernon Biever Estate were made available to the public. MEARS was able to acquire a few of relics directly from the estate sale.
Offered is a children's youth racing helmet acquired from the estate. We assume one of Biever's sons wore this helmet during their childhood. A leather chinstrap, head band and jaw reinforcements are visible on the inside. A "31" decal is apparent on the sides.
