Offered is a 9" x 35" framed photo capturing 23 suited Chicago Cubs wearing their civilian clothes. Photo was produced by Falk Photo of Boston with "National League" written in the lower right corner. Period adverts for OFC Rye Whiskey ("Be Sure You Get It"), Red Stockings 10 cent Cigars ("Named After Boston Base Ball Club") & G.O. Blake Whisky among others are visible in the background. After consulting with several advanced collectors, it is our belief this is the first time this particular image has entered the hobby in this format. It has been brought to our attention that Mastro Auction sold one that was similar, and depicted the team both in their civilian and Cubs clothing. We believe this photo is form 1909 due to lack of Johnny Kling not being included in the photo. Photo was taken to honor the fact the Cubs won the 1907 and 1908 World Series. (21W0085)
