Offered is an historic 11x14-inch, black-and-white image of Opening Day pre-game ceremonies at Chicago's Wrigley Field in 1969. Personally autographed by every team member who played in the April 8th season opener, the beautiful blue sharpie signatures include starters Fergie Jenkins (pitcher), Randy Hundley (catcher), Ernie Banks (first base – d.2015), Glenn Beckert (second base), Don Kessinger (shortstop), Ron Santo (third base – d.2010), Billy Williams (left-field), Don Young (center field)& Jim Hickman (right field), along with winning relief pitcher Phil Regan and pinch-hitting hero Willie Smith (d. 2006). It was Smith's dramatic, 10th inning walk-off home run that seemed to set the tone for this now legendary season, one which burns brightly in the hearts and minds of the Cubs faithful nearly a half-century later. PSA/DNA, renowned third-party autograph authentication service, has inspected each signature and has affixed their unique, serial-numbered sticker attesting to authenticity. Every signature is strong and remains in at least Near Mint/Mint.
