Offered is a Spalding Official National League Ford Frick baseball which was used during the Cincinnati Reds 11-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on September 24 of their 1939 National League Championship Season. "Bill Clemenson Sept. 24, 1939" handwritten on sweetspot by original owner with a pair of names written smaller on a side panel. Clemensen pitched 1 1/3 innings for the Pirates during the game allowing 5 earned runs on 5 walks and only 1 hit & did not come to bat so ball was likely hit by a Reds player during his stint on the mound. Additional Sports Investments Inc. COA will also attend. (98Z0297)
