Offered is a trophy which was presented to the 1944 girls softball fast pitch champions at Parichy Stadium in the Chicagoland area. The stadium's namesake, Emery Parichy, took over sponsorship of the Bloomer Girls fast pitch softball team in 1937 before starting the National Girls Baseball League in 1945 as a rival league to the already established All American Girls Professinal Baseball League. Trophy stands approximately 12" tall with a female batter perched atop and a plaque reading "FP Champs 44 Donated by Parichy Stadium" affixed to the wooden base. Bat is slightly bent atop trophy but remains firmly attached. (98Z0343)
