Nathalie Kay “Tippi” Hedren is an American actress, animal rights activist, and former fashion model. She made her film debut in The Birds in 1963, followed by the title role in Marnie in 1964. In her later years, she has been involved with animal rescue at Shambala Preserve, an 80-acre wildlife habitat which she founded in 1983. Tippi agreed to sign this limited edition “The Birds” 16x20 B&W photo on her Shambala preserve. As a very special bonus, she signed the quote “I keep telling you, this isn’t just a few birds!", and also signed her character name, “Melanie Daniels & Buddy”. To further add a personal touch, Tippi hand drew more than a dozen birds on the border of the photo. To top it off, she returned the image with a hand written note telling me how much fun she had doing the signing and invited my family and I to visit Shambala.
