Allen Bellman is an American comic book artist best known for his work on Captain America. While in high school Allen purchased a comic book featuring a guy wearing blue underwear lifting a car. That book was Action Comics #1, the first issue of Superman and Bellman was hooked. In 1942 Bellman went to work at Stan Lee first company, Timely Comics, inking backgrounds for Captain America, the Patriot and many other Golden Age titles.
