Alabama played the Michigan Wolverines during the 2000 FedEx Orange Bowl. The game was played on January 1, 2000 at Pro Player Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Michigan defeated Alabama 35–34 in an overtime battle.
Tom Brady led Michigan to the win, throwing for 369 yards and four touchdowns, while leading the team back from a pair of 14-point deficits in regulation (14-0 in the first half, and 28-14 in the second). Brady threw the game-winning score in overtime on a bootleg to tight end Shawn Thompson. This was the first overtime BCS Bowl game.
The shirt, a Nike size 48, has the Fed EX Orange Bowl patch on the left breast. The nameplate has been replaced.
