Offered is a Chicago Cubs batting helmet dating to circa Sammy Sosa's 1998 season with the team. "7/98" date stamp present inside helmet along with American Baseball Cap size 7 & MLB Authentic Diamond Collection decals while Sammy's uniform number 21 is affixed to the reverse of the helmet in white decal numerals. Sosa has also signed the top of the brim in silver marker. While helmet matches professional specifications and shows heavy use with pine tar remnants, the MLB logo decal typically visible on the reverse of batting helmets in images from circa the 1998 season is not present on this helmet.
