1997-1998 would mark the end of a very exciting period for Chicago Bulls basketball fans as the team won its 6th overall Championship and third straight. Jordan, Pippen and Rodman were the nucleus of this legendary team. For this auction, we are offering a shirt worn by Dennis Rodman during the 1997-1998 season. Obtained by our consignor at either the Charitabulls Auction or the Fandamonium store at the Chicago Stadium, this shirt was sold without an accompanying letter of authenticity. MEARS has evaluated and graded this shirt, our findings:
Style: Issued as the black alternative, the shirt has square tail, and red/black/white ribbed neck and arm openings. “BULLS”, “91” and “RODMAN” appear with red on black on white triple tackle twill. The style has been verified as being correct by comparison to other known examples and period images.
Manufacturer: Supplied by Nike, the tagging and supplier is correct for 1997-1998 Bulls shirts and compares favorably to examples in the MEARS tagging database.
Size 50: The actual measurement of the shirt is consistent with the tagged size of 50. Compares favorably to:

Game Wear: Jersey shows light game wear which is consistent with 1997-98 Rodman shirts due to the infrequency of use of this design and the fact he wore numerous shirts throughout the season due to the fact he threw his shirts into the stands.
Notes: This shirt is accompanied by a matching set of shirts which completes this uniform. The trunks are size 40 and are tagged by Nike. “91” is hand written in the trunks.
Final Grade (MEARS A10): Based on the actual merits of the jersey per the MEARS criteria found on the Official Worksheet, this shirt was graded as a MEARS A10 due to its completeness (full matching uniform) and recollection of the consignor purchasing it direct from the team. (32H0060)
