Derrick Thomas was the prototypical linebacker who reminded many of Lawrence Taylor. Tragically, Thomas was cut down while still in his prime when he was in a car accident in 2000. While in the hospital Thomas suffered a fatal heart attack.
These size "13.5" Nike shoes were worn by the Hall of Famer during his days in Kansas City. A few scrapes and marks are visible on the exterior. NFL soil is still caked to the bottoms and there are a few soil marks on the sides.
"58" is markered on the sides of both. A Nike size "13.5" tag is revealed on the inside with "D.T." markered in blue felt tip. The cleats were manufactured for use in 1996.
