Offered is a Cincinnati Reds home jersey dating to the close of Pete Rose's playing tenure with the team circa 1985-86. The years of 1985-1986 saw Rose both tie and break Cobb's single season hit record, and ultimately set the all time record of 4,256 hits, which will most likely never be broken. Supplied by the Goodman & Sons, the manufacture is documented to have been the choice of the Reds during the 1985-1986 seasons. Size 43 tag sewn to tail which is documented to be the correct size for Rose during the era. "Reds", number 14 & "Rose" are also sewn to the white knit pullover. Pete has also signed the collar in blue marker. Moderate but very solid wear solidifies this shirt as one of the hobby's finest examples. (25A0019)
