Offered is a professional model Gary Carter game used Louisville Slugger dating to the label period encompassing his time with the Montreal Expos (1983-84) and New York Mets (1985). Model P89 stamped on barrel while Carter's uniform number 8 is written on the knob in black marker. Bat currently measures 35", weighs 32.5 ounces and shows heavy use with deeply embedded ball & stitch marks, a heavy application of pine tar and a glued handle crack. Bat received 5 points for matching player records, 3 points for heavy use and 2 points for player use traits with 1/2 point subtracted for the handle crack resulting in a final grade of MEARS A9.5.
