Offered is a St. Louis Cardinals road jersey which was originally issued to Bob Sykes in 1979 before being carried over for use by Bruce Sutter during the 1981 season. Rawlings size 44 tag sewn inside tail with a set 1 1979 flag tag while the Cardinals Birds on Bat logo is embroidered across the chest along with number 42 & "Sutter" sewn to the light blue knit pullover. Outline of removed "Sykes" still visible on reverse as are the outlines of the sleeve numbers, which would have been removed following the 1980 season. Heavy use shown with staining. (81I0250)
