Offered is a Spalding Official National League Warren Giles baseball which was used during the St. Louis Cardinals 9-5 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on May 2, 1965 at Busch Stadium. Ball was presented to the game's winning pitcher, Bob Gibson, who picked up his 4th victory of the season and the 75th of his Hall of Fame career by striking out nine Pirates over eight innings of work. Gibson has signed the ball in blue ink with myriad game details also written on the ball. (99A0161)
