1961-67 Willie Mays San Francisco Giants Team Index Adirondack Professional Model Bat (MEARS A4 & PSA/DNA)
Offered is a professional model 282E Willie Mays Adirondack dating to his tenure with the San Francisco Giants circa 1961-67. The model is the 302 which is the finest selection second growth Northern White Ash, professional finish, weight controlled for perfect balance, patterned after models used by famous Major League hitters.
Bat currently measures 36", weighs 36 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks, cleat marks and slight grain swelling/flaking through the barrel. "Mays" written in heavily faded marker on knob while a secretarial signature is also present on the barrel.
Grading: Base grade of 5 points for bat being consistent with length, weight, and model used by Mays during his playing career / and team index bat records. 3 points for heavy game use. Minus 4 points for flaking and addition of secretarial signature. PSA/DNA hologram 1B12250 affixed to barrel's end.
