Music fans, this is a one of a kind collection which took our consignor a near lifetime to assemble. Starting in 1955, considered by many to be the birth of Rock N Roll, Billboard magazine began to publish a list of top 40 hits. Our consignor decided to do the near impossible, purchase a record that contained every song that made the top 40 from 1955-1970. During the process, 4,432 songs made the charts. This collection has a record of every song! The collection is comprised of 2,363 45’s, and 2,069 Albums. All are in excellent condition.
When reviewing this lot for cataloging, it was a real treat to see many long forgotten names, and a variety of hits that are dear to our heart. Artists such as Elvis, the Beatles, Charlie Rich, Jerry Reed, Lee Dorsey, Simon & Garfunkel, Andy Williams, and many more.
