Offered is a game worn football helmet likely dating to circa the mid 1950's. No manufacturer evident with a pair of Baltimore Colts horseshoe logo decals applied on the reverse and a six strap suspension system found inside the helmet. The Colts on field helmets were similar in style from 1953-54 though no logo decal was present on the reverse at that time. The logo was added to the reverse for the 1956 season into the 1957 preseason though those helmets appeared to feature facemasks with none found on this example, though snaps are found on each ear of the helmet.
