Offered is a game worn football jersey likely dating to circa the 1940's. Huston Pugh Sporting Goods Akron Ohio tag sewn to crotch piece with a size 38 box tag & "5201" stamping while a loose O'Shea Knitting Mills tag is sewn in the collar. Body is constructed of yellow wool with black & white striped accents and number 23 sewn to the front & reverse. Jersey also features built in elbow pads and six button crotch piece with one button replaced. Heavy use shown with a number of fabric holes present. (79G0079)
