Babe Herman retail model H&B Louisville Slugger with 35" stamped on the knob was used and returned by a Major League player. It is sidewritten "Virgil Spud Davis 5-10-34 St. Louis Natl." Bat currently measures 35", weighs 33 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, seam marks, grain swelling/deadwood and a 13" handle crack.
Bat receives 5 points for matching player specs, 3 points for heavy use & 2 points for side writing with a 1 point deduction for the handle crack. Final Grade MEARS A9. Even though this is technically a retail model bat, it is being graded as a gamer since the side writing documents that it truly was game used in the Major Leagues. (13O0632)
