MEARS Auctions recently sold the “Goodwill Traynor” game used bat for $4,061. Due to the nationwide media coverage, a Chicago area family decided to consign their “Antique Mall” Traynor bat to our auction house.

Discovered in much the same factor as the “Goodwill Traynor”, this bat was recently discovered in a Chicago Area antique mall. With the bat dating to the 1926-1934 time span, it is quite likely this bat was used by Pie Traynor at Wrigley Field during his battles against the Chicago Cubs.

The bat measures 35” and weighs 34 ounces and is perfect for what Traynor used during the era. The bat was professionally graded by MEARS as an A6.5. Three points were assigned for the bat having heavy game use, minus 1 point for damage to back of barrel, minus ½ of discoloration to the handle.
