Offered is a collection of collegiate wrestling apparel likely dating to circa the 1940's. Included are a gold King O'Shea sweater with a large "M" affixed to the front & a "Markwise" ID tag sewn to the inner side seam (incorrect factory spelling), a green wool Spalding long sleeve football shirt, a navy wool Burghardt Athletic Goods long sleeve shirt and a pair of period wrestling shoes. Moderate to heavy wear shown with some holes & fabric loss to the green long sleeve shirt. The football is documented to have been worn by Markweiss during his career at Marquette. Identified equipment is quite rare. (04F0257)
