Offered is a pre-turn of the century game used football nose guard featuring a "Morrill's Patent Nose Mask" embossing on the forehead plate. The original strap remains present with a pair of blue stripes still visible through the wear & fading while a "Patent Sept 29 1891" embossing can be found on the interior of the guard. A letter "P" has also been carved on the left exterior of the guard. Heavy use shown yet the guard remains in excellent overall condition, especially considering its 125 years of existence. (98Z0283)
